In response to recent sexual assault incidents at Boston University, campus authorities have taken swift action to ensure student safety. An individual has been arrested in connection with these

incidents, although their identity has not yet been disclosed.

The two reported incidents appear to be related, involving unwanted physical contact with students. The first incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, as a student was walking in the Boston University Central area, near 595 Commonwealth Ave. The crowded environment made it challenging for the student to identify the perpetrator, who touched them inappropriately.

Later that day, around 7 p.m., another student reported a similar incident while riding a Boston University bus. The individual responsible, who appeared to be under the influence, also engaged in inappropriate physical contact. This time, the victim was able to provide a description of the assailant: a male approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, around 30 years old, with a goatee beard. He was wearing baggy pants, black shoes, and carried an Under Armour backpack.

Boston University has previously faced incidents of physical misconduct, and campus police emphasize their commitment to addressing such issues seriously. They have trained officers dedicated to investigating these matters and are encouraging all students to adhere to the "see something, say something" policy. Additionally, an anonymous tip line is available for reporting any criminal activity. The university is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of its students.
