United States Senator Bernie Sanders is set to introduce his latest book at Bozar in Brussels on October 10th, marking a stop on his European tour.
During the event, the 82-year-old Sanders will engage in a discussion with Karl van den Broeck, the editor-in-chief of the Dutch-language news site Apache. The focus of their conversation will be Sanders' recently published book titled "It’s OK To Be Angry About Capitalism." In this work, Sanders advocates for a radical transformation of both economics and politics, contending that "unlimited capitalism" is responsible for the unprecedented wealth and income disparities that "undermine democracy" and pose a threat to the environment.
Originally released in English in February, the book is set to be published in Dutch in early October, with no confirmed French translation as of yet. The lecture is scheduled to be held in Bozar's Henry Le Boeuf Hall, with a capacity of just over 2,000 attendees. The event is part of Bozar's "Meet the Thinker" series, which features conversations with prominent Belgian and international figures. Photo by Nick Solari, Wikimedia commons.
