Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign revealed on Tuesday that it was notified by the FBI last month about being "targeted by a foreign actor influence

operation," according to a campaign official.

The official emphasized that the campaign has strong cybersecurity measures in place and has not detected any breaches in its systems related to these efforts. The campaign remains in ongoing communication with authorities regarding the matter.

The FBI has not yet responded to requests for comment.

This news follows an announcement on Monday by the FBI that it is investigating claims made by Donald Trump's presidential campaign, which reported being hacked. The Trump campaign attributed the attack to Iran, citing a report from Microsoft researchers that suggested Iranian government-linked hackers attempted to breach the account of a "high-ranking official" in a U.S. presidential campaign in June. The Iranian government has denied any involvement in hacking the Trump campaign. Photo by Gage Skidmore from Peoria, AZ, United States of America, Wikimedia commons.
