Miriam Adelson has fulfilled a pledge made earlier in the general election season, contributing $100 million to a super PAC supporting Donald Trump's presidential campaign, according to filings

released Tuesday by the Federal Election Commission.

The donation, funneled through Adelson’s super PAC Preserve America, was made in installments—$25 million each in July, August, and September, followed by an additional $20 million at the end of September. Earlier this year, she had initially seeded the super PAC with $5 million.

Adelson, 79, is a key figure in pro-Israel politics and a major donor to Jewish causes. Alongside her late husband, casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, she has long been one of the Republican Party’s most significant financial backers. Her political influence has persisted following her husband’s passing, with her estimated net worth now at $35 billion. While known for a more measured decision-making style, she remains aligned with her late husband’s political beliefs, including continued support for Trump in the past three general elections.

Adelson’s contribution was the largest disclosed on Tuesday, surpassing a $75 million donation from Elon Musk to his own pro-Trump super PAC.

If Trump were to win the presidency again, Miriam Adelson could play a significant role in shaping U.S. policy regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In 2017, she and her husband were influential in Trump’s decision to relocate the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a highly controversial move.

In addition to her political activism, Adelson’s deep connections to Israel are well known. Born in Tel Aviv during the British Mandate, she is a fluent Hebrew speaker and served in the Israeli military. She also owns Israel Hayom, the country's largest newspaper, and reportedly spends much of her time in Israel.

Adelson has been vocal in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, calling for unwavering support for Israel in its military campaign against Hamas and condemning those who do not back the country.

While Adelson’s influence remains strong in the pro-Israel camp, her positions—such as her opposition to a Palestinian state—put her at odds with more liberal Jewish organizations like J Street. On Wednesday, J Street announced it had raised $6 million for the campaign of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, the largest amount ever raised by a Jewish organization for a political campaign.
