Arnold Schwarzenegger opened up about a former feud with his fellow action star Sylvester Stallone during an appearance on the "Graham Norton Show." The septuagenarian former California
governor admitted that they were once major "movie rivals" but eventually evolved into "fantastic friends."
Schwarzenegger shared that their competitiveness reached extreme levels, with each striving to have the best physique, outdo each other in on-screen body counts, and wield the biggest firearms in their films. This rivalry escalated to the point where they even tried to undermine one another.
However, their relationship took a positive turn when they both invested in Planet Hollywood. They began promoting the business together, leading to a strong friendship. Both Schwarzenegger and Stallone achieved fame and success in Hollywood during the 1970s. Schwarzenegger made his debut in 1970 with "Hercules in New York," while Stallone rose to prominence in 1976 with the Oscar-winning "Rocky."
Apart from their venture into Planet Hollywood, the action icons co-starred in several films, including "Escape Plan" in 2013 and the "Expendables" franchise. This year, they are the subjects of separate Netflix documentaries, with "Arnold" having been released in June and "Sly" set to premiere next month.
