Every Cast Member We Know Will Return For Orange Is The New Black Season 7

It is time to say goodbye to Orange Is The New Black. Or, at least it nearly is. Netflix has confirmed OITNB 's already-announced seventh season will be its last. After a nearly decade-long rollercoaster of a series, the confirmation makes sense.

But, with a final season announcement comes a lot of pressing questions. The leading inquiry: Which cast members will actually be involved with the last episodes of OITNB, a streaming show known for its sprawling troupe of stars? Thankfully, social media can help us figure out the answer to that mystery, especially since Orange is currently in the midst of filming its imminent last hurrah.

So, we scoured the entire cast's social media accounts to figure out who is on set and who is MIA. That last season announcement video was also pretty helpful. Find out which stars you should definitely expect to see in Orange Is The New Black season 7.

Danielle Brooks as Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson

Danielle Brooks appears in her maximum security prison uniform costume for the accompanying, and recently filmed, finale season announcement, confirming the Netflix star is filming Orange 's finale season. Since Brooks is wearing a dark blue uniform, we know Brooks’ Taystee will likely be a member of C Block.

What that means in a new max world with both Carol (Henny Russell) and Barb (Mackenzie Phillips), the respective bloodthirsty generals of C Block and D Block, dead, is still unclear.

Adrienne C. Moore as Cindy Hayes

Adrienne C. Moore also appears in the video in her max costume, confirming Cindy is officially in OITNB season 7.

At least Cindy can pal around with Brooks’ Taystee — whom she was forced to betray in season 6 — off camera. And maybe even on camera? We can dream.

Laura Prepon as Alex Vause

The last time we saw Alex Vause (Laura Prepon), she was having a blast during a kickball game as her fiancée Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) leaves max — hopefully — forever. Well, Alex is still in prison as evidenced by her appearance in the final season announcement while wearing her max prison costume like Danielle Brooks and Adrienne C. Moore.

With Alex's fate settled, the question becomes: What about Taylor Schilling and Piper?

Taylor Schilling as Piper Chapman?

Taylor Schilling’s involvement in OITNB season 2 is unclear. She doesn’t appear in the much-talked-about video in uniform, which would make sense since Piper is now out of prison. But, she also hasn’t shared any on-set photos.

The one detail that should make you feel confident about Piper’s Orange staying power is that Schilling clearly knew some very insider-y details about season 7 during the accompanying recent Variety video interview. The actress possessed the kinds of details only someone involved with production would be know.

Kate Mulgrew as Galina “Red” Reznikov

Thankfully, no such mystery hangs over the beloved Red. Her portrayer Kate Mulgrew shared an in-costume photo in support of OITNB ’s brand new Omaze campaign, proving she has been filming recently.

Laura Gómez as Blanca Flores

Blanca’s portrayer Laura Gómez also shared one of the Omaze photos, proving she too has been on set. Now the question is where Blanca is, as the character was marched towards a bus seemingly headed for a for-profit immigrant detention center during season 6 finale “Be Free.”

Selenis Leyva as Gloria Mendoza

Selenis Mendoza appeared in the previously mentioned photo with Laura Gomez, so we know she’s in.

Jackie Cruz as Marisol “Flaca” Gonzales

The Orange cast is all about this Omaze campaign. Jackie Cruz also shared a photo for the philanthropy push, so Flaca will be in season 7.

Uzo Aduba as Suzanne Warren?

Right now, it’s unclear whether one of OITNB ’s biggest breakout characters, Suzane Warren (Uzo Aduba), will return for season 7. Aduba appeared in the announcement video in regular clothing, which is totally normal — cast members don’t film all day, every day.

The good news? Aduba did share a video of herself and Dascha Polanco, who plays Dayanara Diaz, on set. The bad news? The clip is for Throwback Thursday, suggesting it could have been taken last week in between shots or last season.

Dascha Polanco as Dayanara Diaz?

The same casting mystery applies to Dascha Polanco’s Daya. While we see the OITNB fixture in-costume in Aduba's throwback video of unclear origins, she hasn’t appeared in any other visuals of herself on set. Polanco is also clearly not on set in the finale season announcement video.

Time will tell if this is all a coincidence or if Daya is skipping OITNB after all that Daddy (Vicci Martinez) drama of season 6.

Natasha Lyonne as Nicky Nichols?

Nicky Nichols’ alter-ego Natasha Lyonne is a major OITNB question mark. Yes, she’s in the announcement video, but it’s unclear if she is wearing a jacket over her costume or simply not in costume.

Let’s hope we get some cold, hard proof soon that Nicky is back.

Yael Stone as Lorna Morello?

Yael Stone’s Lorna Morello is the last major mystery of the core Orange cast. Not only does her character end season 6 in a dire situation — the pregnant Lorna is last seen bleeding out — but it’s difficult to tell if Stone is in-costume during the season 7 announcement video.

At least we have this very recent photo of Stone hiking with co-stars Taylor Schilling and Adrienne C. Moore, hinting this trio is still spending a lot of time together. Was this a plan hatched on set?

Amanda Fuller as Madison “Badison” Murphy

While the fates of fan-favorites like Suzanne, Daya, Piper, and Lorna are all up in the air, we’re definitely getting more Badison. The season 6 addition’s portrayer, former Grey’s Anatomy actress Amanda Fuller, teased the season 7 fall out from the C Block vs. D Block bloody final battle to PopSugar. "I had initially thought last season if something happened to Carol and Barb, Badison would be number one … and it didn't really end that way.” she said. “That was a little bit surprising for me, but it could go anywhere.”

That proves Fuller knows what did happen after the season 6 finale, meaning Badison is definitely a part of season 7.

Oh. Good.
